


It’s really difficult to backport Thunderbird as a deb.

I’m just making some observations that I hope will be useful to help frame any discussion about this. Note that I don’t speak for Canonical or for the desktop team. Thunderbird is an open source project, which means anyone can contribute ideas, designs, code, and time helping fellow users.I can’t directly answer the question, but I would like to clarify a few things to make sure that there’s no misunderstanding or mismatched expectations here.
